7 to 14 days before the procedure, the patient should stop taking anti coagulants.
During the next 2 days after the procedure, the patient should avoid hot water or exposure to sun or heat.

The skin in the treated area should not be exfoliated and should be hydrated.

Usually 6 to 8 treatments of 30 minutes each are needed at intervals of 1 week. Extending the duration of treatments in some patients results in a reduction in the number of treatments required. In some patients, depending on the individual condition, maintenance treatments are required – 1 every 3 to 6 months.

Both procedures are non-surgical alternatives to liposuction as they target and destroy local fat deposits, but use different methods. Pregnancy or breastfeeding; Under 18 years of age; Pacemaker or internal defibrillator, or any electronic implant, such as a glucometer; Permanent implant in the treated area such as metal plates and screws, silicone implants, or injected chemical; Current or history of cancer, especially skin cancer, or precancerous moles; Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV or use of immunosuppressant medications; Severe comorbidities, such as cardiac disorders, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney disease; History of heat-stimulated diseases, such as recurrent herpes simplex in the treatment area; Any active conditions in the treatment area, such as wounds, psoriasis, eczema, and rash, as well as excessively/directly tanned skin; History of skin conditions, such as keloid scars, improper wound healing, and very dry and fragile skin; Any medical condition that may impair skin healing; Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes or thyroid dysfunction; Any surgical, invasive, ablative procedure in the treatment area within the last 3 months or prior to complete healing; Use of isotretinoin (Accutane) within 6 months prior to treatment.
