Why PRP Plasmotherapy ?

PRP Plasmotherapy (PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma) is an innovative method that uses the patient's own enriched plasma. Also known as a "vampire facelift", it is an advanced regenerative procedure for renewing damaged and prematurely aged skin by applying the body's own blood plasma and the growth factors it contains.PRP Plasmotherapy is based on the ability of the natural healing powers of the human body to slow the aging process.

What is PRP Plasmotherapy?

PRP Plasmotherapy is based on the ability of the natural healing powers of the human body to slow down the aging process. During the procedure, blood is drawn from the patient and after special processing, platelet-rich plasma is released. The separated plasma is injected back into the skin where it stimulates skin metabolism and nourishes, hydrates, rejuvenates and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis. The platelet-rich plasma releases “growth factors” – proteins that help injured tissue or damaged and dry skin to recover quickly. It has a proven effect in regenerative aesthetic dermatology to restore the biological age of tissue cells, strengthen and heal the skin, prevent premature aging or in the treatment of scarring and alopecia.

Blood plasma consists of 90% water and 10% dissolved in it biologically active components: vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids, hormones, nutrients. The injection of own blood plasma rich in platelets into the skin supports, accelerates and increases the process of tissue regeneration.PRP plasma therapy has no contraindications and is completely safe for patients. PRP plasma therapy offers a completely natural, organic and natural rejuvenating alternative with fast results, without side effects. It is fully compatible with the rest of the anti-aging arsenal such as botulinum toxin, hyaluronic fillers, lasers, etc. For many patients, PRP is recommended as a pre-treatment to prepare the skin for subsequent procedures.

Application of PRP Plasmotherapy in Aesthetic Medicine

  • PRP plasma therapy for fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, face, neck, décolleté and hands
  • PRP Plasmotherapy for tightening the facial contour and sagging skin
  • PRP Plasmotherapy for skin renewal and firming
  • PRP Plasmotherapy to improve skin tone and texture
  • PRP Plasmotherapy to reduce dark circles and eye bags
  • PRP Plasmotherapy to even complexion and reduce pigmentation
  • PRP plasma therapy for the treatment of some forms of hair loss

Types of PRP Plasmotherapy

Classical PRP Plasmotherapy

In the deepest layer of the epidermis are the stem cells. They are activated by growth factors contained in the plasma and proliferate (multiply), migrate (pass new cells into a higher layer) and differentiate. Autologous plasma stimulates the formation of new collagen (type 1,3,4) and stimulates angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels in the skin), which improves skin microcirculation. This all-natural treatment induces the repair and formation of new tissue, evens the complexion, visibly refreshes the skin, reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eyes, improves skin elasticity, tone and density.

PRP Plasmotherapy with enrichment

An innovation in our clinics is the additional enrichment of PRP plasma. To achieve a better effect, our specialists add cocktails of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, nucleic acids, coenzymes, trace elements, antioxidants, unreinforced hyaluronic acid and more. After an individual consultation with each patient, dermatologists assess what amount and type of enrichment will be needed. Through the plasma, rich in platelets, growth factors, micro and macro elements, the skin is influenced in two ways – on the one hand the growth factors awaken the stem cells of the skin to divide, and on the other hand through the additional vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc., the growth of these cells is promoted. PRP Plasmotherapy for hair

PRP Plasmotherapy induces the regeneration of hair follicle tissues by improving blood supply and increasing cell proliferation in the hair follicle, resulting in stronger and healthier hair. By stimulating the hair follicle tissues, PRP plasma therapy induces a natural process that results in hair strengthening, For a better effect, the plasma is further enriched with a special cocktail of substances that activate growth and nourish the hair follicles. How the PRP Plasmotherapy procedure works

The duration of the procedure is about 40 min. Using a closed vacuum system, 8 ml of blood is drawn from the patient’s vein and processed in a special centrifuge. Due to the specific membrane in the vacutainer, platelet-rich plasma is separated from hemoglobin and other substances in the blood. Autologous plasma is rich in growth factors (PDGF,TGF- B, VEGF, FGF, EGF). The injection of PRP plasma is done by the method of mesotherapy – a thin needle is used to penetrate the superficial layers of the skin and injected with multiple micro pricks. Prior to the procedure, the treatment area can be anesthetized with a cream-salve for additional patient comfort.

Skin care after the PRP Plasmotherapy procedure

During the first 24-48 hours after treatment, you will experience redness, swelling, or tenderness in the treated areas. These reactions are normal and resolve quickly over the next few days. You may use light makeup where needed. Drink plenty of water. Bruising may occur at the injection sites which disappears completely in a few days.

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, hot drinks and spicy foods for 24 hours as they can increase bruising and swelling.
  • avoid medicines such as aspirin or nurofen for 1-2 weeks as they are blood thinners and can intensify bruising
  • avoid supplements such as multivitamins, fish oil, glucosamine and vitamin B or vitamin E, which are blood thinners and can intensify bruising for 1-2 weeks
  • avoid exercise/exertion for 24 hours
  • avoid excessive sun exposure or use of a tanning bed for 24 hours
  • apply ice frequently, if needed, to the injection area for up to 6 hours after treatment. This will prevent or help relieve any bruising. It will also help reduce swelling.
  • Use arnica cream and arnica tablets to help relieve any bruising
  • apply heat to the bruised area to encourage the bruise to be naturally reabsorbed into the skin by the body after 6 hours of the procedure.
  • Massage the areas gently with arnica cream 2-3 times daily for 5-7 days.
