Project Description

PRP Plasmotherapy

PRP (platelet-rich plasma), also known as “vampire lifting”, has recently become one of the most frequently used natural therapies for anti-aging. Plasmotherapy is used in different medical specialties – general surgery, plastic surgery, traumatology, dermatology, rheumatology,  aesthetic medicine, and others. This is the only therapy in aesthetic medicine, which uses a completely natural product, which is collected from our body.

The plasma is made up of 90% water and 10% biological active components diluted in it: vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids, hormones, nutrients. The injection of autologous plasma rich in trombocytes in the derma assists, speeds up and increases the process of tissue regeneration.

The therapy has no side effects and is completely safe for patients. The PRP therapy offers a completely natural and organic anti-aging alternative with fast results, and no allergic or unwanted reactions. It is completely compatible with the rest of the anti-aging arsenal such as botulinum toxin, hyaluronic fillers, lasers and others. For many patients, PRP is recommended as a foundation therapy which prepares the skin for the following procedures.

Effects of the PRP plasma

In the deepest layer of the epidermis, there are stem cells. They are activated by the growth factors contained in the plasma and proliferate (increase in number), migrate (new cells go to upper layers of the skin) and differentiate. The autologous plasma stimulates the synthesis of new collagen (type 1,3,4) and stimulates angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels in the skin), which improves the skin microcirculation. This completely natural therapy causes regeneration of old and formation of new tissue, evens out the tan, visibly refreshes the skin, decreases puffing and dark circles around the eyes, improves elasticity, tone, and density of the skin.

Applications:

  • correction of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, face, neck, decolette, and hands

  • tightening of the face contour – decreasing of sagging

  • rejuvenation and improvements in skin density

  • improvement of skin texture and tone

  • decreasing dark circles and eye bags

  • evening out the tan, decreasing pigmentations

  • therapies of the scalp / treating some forms of hair loss

How is the procedure conducted

The procedure lasts around 40 minutes. Blood is drawn using a closed vacuum system, after which the blood goes through a centrifuge. The blood quantity is 8ml. The result is a plasma rich in platelets, due to the specific membrane in the test tubes used. The autologous plasma is rich in growth factors (PDGF, TGF-B, FGF, EGF). The next stage in the procedure is drawing the blood in a few syringes and preparing it for injection. In this step, the plasma can be additionally enriched with vitamins, minerals, aminoacids, nucleic acids, coenzymes, microelements, non-cross linked hyaluronic acid, and others for a better effect. The injection method for PRP plasma is similar to that of mesotherapy – a thin needle is used to penetrate the surface layers of the skin; many microinjections are performed. Before the procedure, the treated zone can be treated with an anesthetic cream to improve patient comfort.

PRP plasmotherapy in Skin Line Clinics

Enriching PRP plasmotherapy

The unique thing offered in our clinic is the additional enriching of the plasma. For a better effect, we add vitamins, minerals, aminoacids, nucleic acids, coenzymes, microelements, non-cross linked hyaluronic acid and others. After an individual consultation with each client, we determine what quantity of enrichment will be needed. Using the platelet-rich plasma with growth factors, micro- and macroelements, we affect the skin in two ways. On one hand, the growth factors stimulate the skin stem cells to divide, while on the other hand, using the additional vitamins, minerals, and others, we help those cells to grow.

Results

PRP plasmotherapy is suitable for individuals from all age groups. The effect from the procedure varies depending on the age and lifestyle of the patients. In younger skin, an overall refreshing and toning effect is visible, combined with a decrease of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. More mature patients experience a decrease in visible wrinkles, and a tightened, denser and revitalized skin.

“Vampire lifting” is an excellent choice for patients who suffer from allergies, or those looking for maximally natural anti-aging treatments.

The interval between the procedures must be between 3-5 weeks. The first results are visible 3-4 weeks after the first procedures, but the skin changes become more obvious in the following months. The overall result is visible after a minimum of three-four consequent procedures. In order to maintain the effect, an additional procedure must be done every 6-8 months.

  • Have malignant diseases

The therapy for hair

PRP plasmotherapy causes regeneration of the tissue of the hair follicle by improving bloodflow and increasing proliferation of the cells, creating a stronger and healthier hair. By stimulating the tissue in the hair follicle, PRP plasmotherapy creates a natural process, resulting in stronger hair without side effects.

The method has been used for years in medicine to restore connective tissue, joints, and quicker closing of wounds. In recent years, it also gained a wide array of application in aesthetic medicine.
